How thick are your mattresses?
While we can make mattress with up to 9 inch corners our standard mattresses are made with a 6 inch corner. Our standard cotton mattresses are stuffed with 8-10 layers of cotton that start out at about 2-3 inches in thickness each. We then compress the cotton into a 6 inch case in order to be able to handcraft a longer lasting cotton mattress for you. It is next to impossible to accurately measure something as soft and as giving as cotton. The only accurate measurement is the sewn corner of the case. After twenty-five years of making our mattresses, we have found the ideal mattress thickness for the majority but do offer custom sizes to accommodate all of your needs. Please know that all our mattresses come with handles and side panels to work better for you.
